Out and about in Calas de Mallorca
TOURIST INFORMATION OFFICE
The Tourist Information Office is in the centre of town and is clearly marked on the map. They speak English and are open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Saturday.
CALA EXPRESS ROAD TRAIN
The road train runs around the resort throughout the day (except lunchtime) and all its stopping points are shown on the map. There are trains direct from Canarios Park to the Beach each day. Note that not all trains go to the Canarios Park Hotel, check with the driver. The trains depart from the beach at the following times: 10.20, 10.45, 11.10, 11.45, 12.10, 13.06, 15.45, 16.30. 17.30, 18. 30, 19.30 and 20.30 (NB Times subject to change)
BEACHES
The main beach, Playa Domingos Gran is adjacent to the America hotel. You walk down the slip road by the hotel, across the road and down some steps to the beach. It's a doddle going down, but murder coming back up! You can walk across the beach and over the headland to Playa Domingos Petit. It is a lovely beach adjacent to the Riu Tropicana Hotel. There is also the Cala Antena beach but it is a steep walk down to it.
CRAZY GOLF
There are two crazy gold courses in town. The first is Mini Golf Mallorca which is right in the middle of the Shopping centre in front of the Chemist (Farmacia) and Central Meeting Point bar. The other one is at the Big Corner - adjacent to the Rock Cola bar on the front of the Shopping Centre and other,
FALCON SHOW
There is a Falcon Show every Friday at Central Meeting Point bar. The shows starts around 7.45pm and is free - just buy a drink! You will get to see some beautiful large Eagle Owls close up and see them in flight. Also some smaller and cuter birds ar part of the show.
KID'S PLAYGROUNDS
There are two children's playgrounds in town. The larger one is called Peques Park play ground which is opposite the Maria Eugenia Hotel. The other one, which is slightly smaller, is opposite the Little India Restaurant. IAN MORRISON FUN QUIZ
The Ian Morrison Fun Quiz (Established in Mallorca 1987) is on three nights a week at Central Meeting Point bar - Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday starting at 9.30 pm.
BIKE HIRE
Family fun bikes can be hired from the shop down the ramp by The 3 Lions Bar on the front of the Commercial Centre. They also hire scooters and cars.
